Johnny and Dena Kimmel were married in 1991 and are the proud parents of three adult children, a son in law, daughter in law, and two grandsons.  God knew what He was doing when he brought these two together. John has always had a passion to teach The Word and Dena has the gift of administration, making them a perfect team.  Both have a passion to reach the lost here at home in DFW and the US as well as abroad from East Asia to India to Cuba. John and Dena are honored to begin this new season of ministry as they launch SteepleLess Church and hope you will join them in sharing the love of Jesus in our community.

John Kimmel Jr. is the Associate Pastor here at SteepleLess Church. He is also the son and namesake of our head pastor. He is the proud father of his firstborn son, John Kimmel III, who was born in February of 2021. Perhaps John III will follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather and the family is all anxious to see how God will use this little boy to His glory. Born himself in 1995, John Jr. can easily connect with the younger generations here at our church and enjoys helping both new and seasoned believers find their calling in the Lord. 

John Jr. has been happily married to Alyssa Kimmel since 2017 and they both are hopeful that God will bless them with more children as they grow together as a family. John Jr. has a Bachelor of History Degree from Texas A&M University and a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is also a licensed pastor in the Southern Baptist Conference. John Jr. has a deep desire to teach and disciple the people of God, according to The Great Commission revealed in the Word. He currently lives in Rowlett, Texas with his wife and child but his ministry extends around the world via the internet.
